Student Parking |
- The parking fee is a NONREFUNDABLE $50 for the semester. If a parking permit is lost, the FEE is not refundable.
- PARKING PERMITS ARE TO BE PLACED ON THE INSIDE OF THE REAR WINDOW IN THE LOWER LEFT HAND CORNER. THE VEHICLE WILL BE TICKETED IF THE PARKING PERMIT IS NOT DISPLAYED PROPERLY. The permits are not to be taped.
- Students are required to park in the designated student parking lots.
- Parking permits may be transferred to a new vehicle ONCE the vehicle information has been registered in the high school office.
- Parking permits should be removed from vehicles being sold or that have been in an accident and are no longer in use. Permits should be transferred and not replaced. Replacement costs will be charged.
- If an alternate vehicle must be driven, it is mandatory to register the vehicle at the front desk. Students MUST know the license plate number of any alternate vehicle driven, or they are subject to a ticket. Failure to report an alternate vehicle may result in a parking ticket.
- A parking ticket will be issued for the first two parking offenses. For three offenses and beyond, the vehicle will be ticketed and towed at owner’s expense. No further notification will be given.
- Students who fail to comply with stated parking regulations will forfeit their privileges as determined by school administration. Causes for suspension or permanent loss of parking permit without refund may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Careless operation of a vehicle.
- Excessive speed.
- Use of a registered vehicle in the violation of school policy and procedures.
- Use of cars to promote skipping and/or transportation of truant students.
- Disciplinary action/suspension from school.
- Tardiness: Student is chronically tardy to school. The minimum amount of time that a permit will be revoked for is two weeks.
- Truancy: Student is truant for all or part of a day. The minimum amount of time that a permit will be revoked for is two weeks.
- School officials, including police liaison officers, may search any vehicle owned or operated by a student on school grounds at any time without notice, without student consent, and without a search warrant if they have reasonable suspicion that there is evidence of a crime or infraction of a school rule or contraband in the vehicle.
- You do not need a parking permit to park at Nicolet during final exam week. Having a parking permit during the does not guarantee you a parking spot during final exam week.
Remember that parking on campus is a privilege, not a right.
